This short film is a experiment into pixilation, the stop motion process with a human subject. Through the use of a pinhole camera – a technique in which a small hole takes the place of the lens - I am able to yield images that hold a dream-like texture. The long exposure needed to compensate for such a small lens requires that every frame is carefully crafted with unique lighting, making for an eye-opening experience. This technique of photography has been the launchpad for my own creative endeavors, and I continue to explore the limitless possibilities of this aesthetic.

This project gave me a great chance to experience the filmmaking process of yesteryear in a rural setting and put new and modern editing techniques to the test. Combining the classic look of 16mm film with innovative approaches to production and post-production provided me a remarkable opportunity to explore the art of making movies. By immersing myself in the nostalgia of film-making, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of the history and artistry involved.
